Patrick Rodrigue

Patrick Rodrigue paints urban scenes as well as lanscapes. His work is characterized by a strong drawing, solid compositions, a remarkably refined palet of color and high quality play of light.

Born in Quebec City in 1964,  Patrick Rodrigue completed a B.A. in graphic design at Laval University (1987). He studied drawing and painting at the Ontario College of Art in Toronto (1992). This second training included a year of independant studies in Florence, Italy (1992). During his stay abroad, he was selected for a grant by the Elizabeth Greenshields Foundation (1991).

Since 1994, Patrick Rodrigue has been present in many galeries throughout the province of Québec. He gained recognition through numerous solo, as well as group exhibitions. Télé-Québec shot a TV report on him for its series « La route des Arts » (2001). His work has appeared twice on the cover of the Outremont phone directory (1998 and 2002). One of his painting was selected for appearance in the Hydro-Québec corporative calendar (2001).
