Chantal Messier was born in Montreal in 1954.

After her general and artistic formation with Villa-Maria, with the School Jean-de-Brébeuf and with the University of Quebec in Montreal, she begins artist graphic designer’s career which will lead her to occupy functions of artistic manager in the environment of the edition during several years.

During all her professional activities, which moreover captivated her she always kept an eye on what was made at the same time in the arts generally  artists of any disciplines.

Today, she feels the need to express herself through the painting and to make of this expression a priority.

She dedicates it now all her time and works on her painting with an energy which we fell inevitably in its works. Her work is a part of private and public collections today of which the Collection Loto-Quebec, the Collection of the National Bank of Canada and the City of Quebec.
