"What takes on life in the sculptor’s hands is not a satirical gross distortion of truth but lively thick and strong forms of human bodies.  No doubt about this : the sculpture work of Hélène Labrie makes us see a healthy human body with an appealing sense of humour, very far from its crash diet and anabolic steroids we are used to in our society.  There is no mockery, but emotion through smile.  What can we say about smile if not that its is recognized as the good manners of sensitive people."
